I believe that quality teaching is the cornerstone of high student achievement.

Every child deserves to receive a high quality education provided by an exemplary classroom teacher. Research has shown that highly effective teachers provide students with academic feedback more frequently than non-performing teachers which results in high-yield student outcomes.

I believe that classroom instructional activities should encourage critical thinking and problem solving. Furthermore, all students have the ability to learn; however, students have varying learning styles and acquire knowledge at different paces. Therefore, learning should be purposeful and engaging in order to meet all students at their targeted level of academic readiness.
